Saint Josephs, MO – October 10, 2024 – The 15 and the Mahomies Foundation has teamed up with High Aspirations to help provide support in taking 75 young men on a college tour to Missouri Western State University.

The college tour will allow these young men to visit the campus and learn about the importance of a continued education after high school. Before attending the tour, each participant will complete a 5-step and action plan to prepare them for the trip and show them that college is a viable option for their future. These 75 participants will also be afforded the opportunity to earn a scholarship from the Henry, Trina, and Laurianna Wash (HLTW) Scholarship Fund at High Aspirations.

High Aspirations raises African American males’ aspirations by initiating innovative ways to improve the quality of their lives spiritually, emotionally, socially, and academically. The program is designed to place young men on a path toward becoming productive society members, loving husbands, and dutiful fathers.

“High Aspirations is honored to partner with the 15 and the Mahomies Foundation on this impactful and meaningful initiative,” said Henry W. Wash, Founder and President of High Aspirations. “Thanks to this event, 75 of our kids in this community will have an opportunity they wouldn’t have had otherwise. We’re genuinely grateful to Patrick and Brittany Mahomes for their exemplary and unwavering support of our young men. They are truly making a difference in uplifting these disadvantaged youth. We’d like to thank them both for their extraordinary service. Further, we are more than grateful for their generosity and love.”
